Tutorial
From install to your first fixed product, in about ten minutes.
1. Install
Add the app from the Shopify App Store. You will be asked to grant access to products and to your published legal policies. No customer permission is requested, because the app has no use for one.
2. Run the first scan
Press Run first scan. On the free plan this checks 25 products; on Growth it checks the whole catalog. A typical result appears in under a minute.
You will see a readiness score, how many products are invisible to AI assistants, and how many entries were classified as housekeeping and left out of your score.
3. Read the score against the median, not against 100
A score means little on its own. We show the median from 19 established Shopify brands, which is 85. Below roughly 65 means assistants are skipping a meaningful part of your catalog.
4. Work the "Start here" list
Three changes are surfaced first: the ones that take minutes and move the score most. Blocking issues come before everything else, because those products are absent from the feed entirely rather than merely ranking poorly.
The most common blockers
| Finding | Usually caused by | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Price is zero | Placeholders, samples, gift-with-purchase items | Set a price, or archive if it should not be sold alone |
| No image | Products imported from a spreadsheet | One clear photo is enough to qualify |
| Not published | Products created through an API or app | Publish to the Online Store channel |
5. Fix in bulk
Open Bulk fixes and press Preview fixes. Nothing is written yet. Each proposed change shows the current value and the new one, with the reason it was proposed.
Tick what you want, press apply, and the batch is written. If you change your mind, press Undo on the batch and every field returns to its previous value.
6. Check your AI visibility
Open AI visibility and run the first check. The app derives buying questions from your own catalog, puts them to a live assistant, and reports whether your store is named, and which brands are named instead. This takes about a minute.
Come back weekly. The question set is frozen so the trend is comparable between runs.
What good looks like after a month
- Zero products blocked from Shopify Catalog
- Readiness score at or above 85
- Unbranded share of voice rising, even slowly
- No regressions after imports, which is what the alerts are for
